  • Headstone of William Dyer, born 1834. Surrendered at Appomattox Court House. The cemetery has several graves marked by both concrete slab and bricks. Looks like the headstones to other graves have been taken but can tell where they had been. I believe that John D. Dyer and Thomas Dyer are also buried here. John D was also at Appomattox, while Thomas was a POW at Fort Delaware, DE until after the war.
